How StarTrading collects, uses, and protects your personal data.

Last updated: July 8, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how StarTrading collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data when you visit our website, submit an application, book a call, or otherwise interact with us. We take your privacy seriously and only collect what we need to run our mentorship. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Service.

1. Who Is Responsible for Your Data

StarTrading, operated by an individual (sole proprietor) based in Germany, is the data controller responsible for your personal data. For any privacy question or request, contact us at starbeyondthesky@proton.me.

2. Information We Collect

Application information

When you complete the application form, we collect the answers you provide, which may include your age range, trading experience, goals, income range, available trading capital, budget, and how soon you want to start, together with the contact details you enter: your name, email address, and phone number.

Booking information

When you schedule a consultation call, our booking provider collects the details needed to arrange it, such as your name, email address, the time you choose, your time zone, and any notes you add.

Communications

If you email or message us, we keep the content of those communications and your contact details so we can respond and maintain a record.

Technical and security data

To keep the Service secure and prevent abuse, our systems process limited technical data such as your IP address and basic request information at the time you submit a form. This is used for rate limiting and spam or bot prevention.

Aggregate analytics

We use a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics tool to understand overall traffic (for example, page views, referring sources, approximate country, and device type). This data is aggregated, does not use cookies, and is not used to build a personal profile of you or to track you across other websites.

What we do NOT collect

We do not collect payment card or wallet details through this website (no payment is taken here), we do not issue or store login credentials or license keys, and we do not run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We do not knowingly collect any special-category (sensitive) personal data.

3. How and Why We Use Your Information

We use your personal data to:

  • Review and evaluate your application and assess whether the mentorship is a good fit.
  • Prepare an individual quote and tailor the mentorship to your situation.
  • Contact you about your application, schedule and conduct your consultation call, and follow up.
  • Provide, operate, and improve the Service and our educational content.
  • Keep the Service secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and maintain the integrity of our systems.
  • Comply with our legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

4. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR)

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases: your consent (which you give by submitting the application form, and which you can withdraw at any time); the performance of a contract or steps taken at your request before entering into one (handling your application, booking, and mentorship); our legitimate interests (keeping the Service secure, preventing abuse, and running our business), balanced against your rights; and compliance with legal obligations where applicable.

5. Cookies and Embedded Content

Our own analytics are cookieless and we do not use advertising or tracking cookies. However, some pages embed third-party content, such as YouTube videos and the booking calendar. When you interact with that embedded content, the third party may set its own cookies or collect data under its own privacy policy, over which we have no control.

6. Who We Share Your Data With

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for third-party advertising. We share it only with service providers (processors) that help us run the Service, and only as needed:

  • Our lead-storage provider (Grist), which securely stores application submissions.
  • Our booking provider (Cal.com / cal.eu), which handles call scheduling and related reminders.
  • Our hosting and cookieless-analytics provider (Vercel), which serves the website and provides aggregate traffic statistics.
  • Our domain and email-forwarding provider (Porkbun), which routes any email sent to our domain.

We may also disclose your data where required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transfer. Each provider processes your data under its own privacy terms and only on our instructions.

7. International Transfers

Some of our providers may process data on servers located outside the European Economic Area (for example, in the United States). Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards recognised under applicable law, such as standard contractual clauses or an equivalent mechanism, to protect it.

8. How Long We Keep Your Data

We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, for example while we assess your application and, if you enrol, for the duration of our relationship and a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal and administrative requirements. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it. You can ask us to delete your data sooner (see your rights below).

9. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, and in particular under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy.
  • Have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected.
  • Request erasure of your data (the right to be forgotten).
  • Restrict or object to certain processing, including processing based on our legitimate interests.
  • Data portability, where technically feasible.
  • Withdraw any consent you have given, at any time, without affecting prior processing.
  • Lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU country where you live or work, or the German supervisory authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at starbeyondthesky@proton.me. We will respond within the time required by law.

10. How We Protect Your Data

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, rate limiting and bot-prevention on our forms, and periodic rotation of access credentials. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so while we work hard to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children

The Service is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date below, and where required by law we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Please review this page periodically.

13. Contact

If you have any questions or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or your personal data, contact us at starbeyondthesky@proton.me.
